We (family of six) loved the visit to the elephant sanctuary. They take such good care of the elephants and provide great education. We really enjoyed making the elephants food and being close but hands off. A must do in Phuket

Visited this week for the short visit. We have visited other elephant places in Bangkok and Chiang Mai where we rode bare back at one and bathed them at the other. We had previously been told never to support a place where you could ride on a metal framed chair. 
These guys don't endorse either and provide clear reasons for their views; which I have to say we endorse. You do get to prepare the elephant food and then participate in the feeding - but not by hand. 
The 5 female elephants roam freely and you can be very close to 4 of the 5. It's a great experience for all ages. The several families on our visit all enjoyed it enormously.

We visited yesterday (9/21/15) and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend the half day tour. It’s clear the keepers have a great bond with the elephants and are very happy at the reserve. The staff was incredible. They were very knowledgeable and kind. Tom was our guide - he was very informative, entertaining, and helpful. This is a can’t-miss experience for anyone visiting Phuket.

This was a great way to see elephants in Thailand.  The staff were fabulous and my kids loved making the elephant food.  If your a person with decent values towards animals nature this is the place for you

We took the 1.5 hour tour. We met all 5 elephants that were wondering around accompanied by trainers that looked out on them. The guide was very descriptive and knowledgeable. Last but not least, we got to prepare a snack meal (I.e. fruits and sugar canes) for the elephants. We were glad to spend our money in a place that places the elephants' needs first. However, I felt a little uncomfortable when they made an elephant stay (using bananas as an incentive) for us to have a photo with it.
